Pathway to Parenthood
At CReATe West Fertility, our team of specialized experts focus on ‘you’ and provide individualized plans of care to address your infertility issues. Equipped with over three decades of expertise and success, our team of medical and administrative experts will support you at every step in your journey to parenthood. Our aim and approach are to ensure that your treatment plan is informed, transparent, easy to understand and focused on a positive outcome.
Being informed is everything! And hence your first consultation with your fertility specialist is important. The consultation will include a detailed medical history assessment, discussion of prior treatments (if relevant), blood tests, semen analysis and ultrasound imaging to diagnose the cause(s) of infertility. Share details on how long you have been trying to conceive and all issues that you may have faced. Do not feel nervous or hesitate to talk to your specialist about any questions or concerns that you may have.
Following the consultation and medical history evaluation, your fertility specialist will recommend some specialized tests. Infertility can be caused due to various reasons – hormonal imbalances, obesity, injury, co-morbidities (PCOS, Cancer, STDs), issues with egg and sperm production, age, genetic predispositions, family history, exposure to harmful chemical or radiation, to list a few.
The tests will assist your medical diagnosis and understand the underlying causes of infertility. Your fertility specialist will recommend and develop a treatment plan based on the results.
Know more:
Your fertility specialist will assess your diagnostic tests and share their medical evaluation with you. This discussion is important as you will gain clarity on the reason(s) and the underlying cause(s) of your infertility. However, please be aware that in roughly 20% of cases the diagnosis is ‘Unexplained”, as there is no obvious cause identified.
A treatment plan to address the issues will be discussed. You need to be open and positive about the discussion. Feel free to request clarifications on the diagnosis, recommended plan, and most importantly your projected outcome. Your fertility specialist will share the next steps and your treatment plan with you.
Your fertility journey and treatment plan will also depend on your family structure and your unique goals, and at CReATe West Fertility we value and respect that. CReATe offers fertility solutions for everyone – including LGBTQ2+ parents. Your recommended treatment plans may be one of the following:
- Intrauterine insemination (IUI)
- In-vitro fertilization (IVF) & intra-cytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI)
Other options such as surrogacy may also be discussed
A clear treatment plan will be provided, including the next steps to support you in your journey to realizing a family.
